Brooklyn Love...

Just passing by this little wooden house on the sidewalk...
As we came closer to see what it is, we discovered it is a library!

Some people in this neighborhood decided to build up a little house to make book sharing easier for the children in their neighborhood, you pick a book and then you leave a book you would like to share...

Just a beautiful idea!

Findings on stoop sale!

I found on one of the last stoop sale of the summer in our neighborhood 2 pieces of woven fabric and a tablecloth from Burkina Faso, gorgeous!!
The guy who was selling them explained that they were from his roomate who was peace corp. there.

The table cloth is embroidered.

They actually remind me a little bit of my cousine's beautiful Kikoi.
When I was this summer in Martinique for vacations at my parent's, my aunt and cousines were there (we had such a great time!), and when going to the beach they had a pretty piece of fabric to lay on the sand...
It's a traditional rectangular shaped piece of woven cotton which comes in a large range of color, generally striped and originally from Kenya.
Very pretty!
